For the past 40 years, the Junior League of Orange County, California has been putting on a shopping extravaganza called The Christmas Company, featuring over 120 specialty vendors from all across the country. But this event isn't just a holiday shopper's haven where guests can find beautiful and unique gifts, it's also an event that gives back. The Junior League is a long-standing organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism, helping children and families in a multitude of ways by placing volunteers in local community outreach programs such as the Blind Children's Learning Center, Human Trafficking Task Force, and Grandma's House of Hope. Every vendor is required to donate a percentage of their sales to the Junior League of Orange County, so by participating in the Christmas Company, vendors not only bring in profits for their own small businesses, but also give back to the community. Because really, isn't giving to others and supporting those in need what the holidays are all about? We at Water Gallery certainly think so. We enjoyed ourselves immensely at this festive, fun, philanthropic event and it was a really terrific way to kick off our holiday season!
