As we've learned more about Drew Brophy's sacred geometry art and sacred geometry in general, we at Water Gallery have become more and more captivated by this fascinating and magical concept. Although our understanding of sacred geometry is rudimentary at this point-- we feel like we've only scratched the surface in learning about the complex and, at times, mystical world of sacred geometry-- the more we see it in Drew's work, the more we feel it pulling us in and captivating us. As we always say, art is in the eye of the beholder and art is something different for everyone who experiences it. But there's something about this sacred geometry that we feel can truly reach almost anyone, no matter their background and their exposure to art-- those who love the ocean, those who are fascinated by nature, those who are drawn to vibrant color, those who are interested in mathematics, those who enjoy patterns, those who are intrigued by the way things work...the list goes on encompassing the people who would be drawn to Drew's sacred geometry art. Sacred geometry has such a universal appeal, which is the cornerstone of why we love it. And the way Drew interprets it on canvas is just so pleasing to the eye and the senses. Every time we've visited his studio, we've found ourselves being pulled, almost like a magnet, to his sacred geometry work. We can stare at Drew's paintings like the one below on the glass bottle:
We're so in love with his sacred geometry work, we've even decided to commission a sacred geometry painting of our own, which Drew is currently working on right now. Here it is in the background:
We are so excited to see more of Drew's sacred geometry work as he creates it and we are thrilled to be in the process of creating some new Water Gallery sacred geometry drinkware using Drew's art like the ones you see above. Stay tuned for the release of these beautiful new water glasses soon and keep reading our blog to learn more about what Drew is creating! He is truly a master artist whose groundbreaking ideas and works continue to amaze and captivate us at Water Gallery.
