Water Gallery is incredibly proud to announce that we are officially Carbon Neutral! This means that our company produces minimal emissions AND we also offset our carbon footprint by donating a percentage of every one of our sales to fund alternative energy sources. BLUEdot Register, a carbon neutrality assessment company, comprehensively studied the supply chain of Water Gallery, doing an analysis of our product's full life-cycle carbon footprint starting at what they call "raw material harvest" (meaning from the inception of the blank and empty glass bottles themselves) all the way through the customer's multiple re-uses. They even worked to identify any areas of potential future carbon emissions. Notice in the chart below the comparison between a single-use plastic bottle and a Water Gallery bottle; the differences in environmental consequences are staggering! Water Gallery keeps the natural world in mind with every decision we make.
As producers of a glass water bottle that is meant to be reused over and over again, our Carbon Neutral status is of great importance to us. Our goal has always been to be as environmentally-responsible a company as we can possibly be and to be able to officially announce that we take the time to offset our carbon footprint is a source of enormous pride and accomplishment for us. This even further emphasizes the fact that single-use plastic bottles are not the right choice; choose a carbon neutral option whenever possible, especially one of great beauty, like a piece of functional Wyland art!
