Eco-Fact Friday: Say no to single-use beverage containers!

Did you know that an estimated 144 billion beverage containers were thrown in landfills, incinerated, or discarded into the natural environment in some way in the US in 2005? That's approximately 2 out of 3 of every container sold in America.

Avoid single-use plastic at all possible moments!

Let's be part of the change by recycling every item we use, choosing beverage containers that can be reused over and over again (glass water bottles, reusable water bottles), avoiding single-use containers whenever possible, choosing not to buy single-use plastic EVER, and being mindful of our natural environment in our daily decisions.

Remember, reduce, reuse, recycle! Small, everyday changes can make a big difference.

I bought all my kids reusable water bottles for Christmas. They also included filters for the picky ones who don’t want tap water, although most plastic bottled water is tap water.

I wish more people would make the effort!
