Combat the negative energy of a single-use plastic bottle with the postive energy of an artistic glass bottle

Here at Water Gallery we've been thinking a lot about energy, especially since one of our upcoming artists, Drew Brophy, is so inspired by energy in nature. His sacred geometry art, which is some of the most beautiful art we've ever seen, is rooted in the idea that all beings and items on earth have energy and are all connected-- humans, animals, nature, even the items we choose to utilize in our lives.

Since everything and everyone has a certain type of energy, wouldn't you want to surround yourself with positive energy, rather than negative energy? Most of us try to align ourselves with positive people who uplift us and bring us joy rather than drag us down and bring stress into our lives. Wouldn't we want the same for the items and "things" in our lives? We at Water Gallery feel strongly that this is true and we try to utilize items that bring positive energy and positive flow into not only our lives, but also to the world in general: items that do not pollute the earth and the natural world around us, things that are beautiful to look at, items that are useful and not wasteful.

When we think of positive energy versus negative energy in regards to items and objects, plastic comes to mind. Plastic is a material that has become so widely used that one cannot make it through the day without coming into contact with some sort of plastic item-- a food container, plasticware for eating, plastic water bottles, plastic bags, etc. It begs the question: does plastic have positive or negative energy? It is our belief that plastic has an overwhelming negative energy. Plastic items are typically low in quality, usually produce clutter in one's home and life, and most of all, because plastic does not ever fully biodegrade, plastic pollutes our natural world and our oceans. For all of these reasons, plastic is one of those items that has negative energy and negative flow. It is our belief that surrounding ourselves with plastic items and utilizing plastic when there are alternative choices brings negative energy into our lives...and why bring negative energy into our lives when there are positive choices at our fingertips? Sure, the positive choices aren't usually as easy or as cheap to access, but the benefits of making better choices (for the environment, for our families, for ourselves) is invaluable. The positive energy that making better choices brings into our lives is crucial to our well-being and the well-being of those around us.

The vessels from which we eat our food and drink our beverages are such an intrinsic part of our daily choices. Plastic is everywhere and most likely, especially if you spend your days working outside of the home, you end up eating and drinking out of plastic. It's convenient, inexpensive, and quick. But if you take a moment to think about the positive energy you want to bring into your life and that of those around you, wouldn't making some small changes in your daily choices be the primary way to shift the energy around us? Take your daily drinking vessel as an example. Sure, you can choose a wasteful single-use plastic water bottle. But in our view, the single-use plastic water bottle is the perfect example of negative energy coming from an inanimate object-- the single-use plastic bottle does nothing to help anyone or anything other than offering you a cheap way to drink your water. With a little planning ahead and a few extra dollars spent initially, you could make a significant change in the positive energy in your life-- why wouldn't you want the positive energy to flow from a beautiful vessel, such as an artistic, reusable glass water bottle? Little everyday changes can bring an immeasurable amount of good feelings and positivity in your daily life-- you are proud of the vessel you drink from, it's pleasing to the eye, it's a unique possession, and it helps the environment. Plus, you save you money in the long run.

Ditch the negative energy of plastic and embrace the positive energy of glass. Whenever possible, combat negative flow with positive flow-- small changes in your everyday choices can make big changes in the overall positivity of your life and those around you.

There is so much negativity everywhere, but it is ultimately your choice to choose whether to ignore it and be positive or be sucked into the negativity. I always choose to be positive.
